Bohemian Intisaar – A small thought

Respect everyone’s uniqueness and experience a magical life with victory.

“there is no shortage of fault to be found amid our stars”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

Each man has his own special drink which he orders at the counter; or simply we can say that every person has his or her own style of living, has his or her own pair of sunglasses. Even when one tries to change or adjust or try to try some other drink,  cent percent success is not possible. We tend to show that we are very honest, loyal or cooperative with our partner, this partner can be a business partner, life partner or even a temporary school project partner, John is at the end of the day John.  Then the question arises in my mind that why can’t we accept someone as he or she is ? why can’t we respect each other’s uniqueness, each other’s identity and each other’s reality and achieve intisaar(1)?

Just imagine once we are totally fine with everything. Serious about everything with a glimpse of calmness. Zest will be on our mind and motivation will be running in our blood. If we give time, patience and respect to the uniqueness of the other person and we try to understand his or her style sacrificing some time then life can be beautiful AF.

I work as an artist, a PR manager, a student, a head and a teacher. At the age of 21 I have had numerous experiences where I had to deal with people who had a completely different and unique ways of working. They were bohemian in their own world and were at the position where they could comfortably expect that the person at the visitor’s side of the desk would the one who will adjust. The only thing I learned was that we need to accept the other person’s reality and be happy about it. If we stay rigid and inflexible then it will be very difficult to survive in this world. No one is wrong, its just that your righteousness can be a little less right sometimes.

Life is beautiful. Give it a chance, a unique chance. RESPECT. LOVE. FORGIVE.

The Catch-22 I Went Through

A few days ago I was walking on the service lane near my housing society where I saw something very helpless yet beautiful. Yes, you read it right, something helplessly beautiful. Something which was so clear and crisp about its definition that no one could raise a question. I saw a man with a mobile rotating swing which he would sometimes push or sometimes pull trough streets and lanes and small kids would sit on it to welcome their adrenaline rush. The man wore torn shoes through which his torn socks were visible, brown pant and striped colorful shirt. He carried a shadow beneath his eyes, his hands crossed with each other taking support his knees of his folded legs as he sat alone on that swing. His fingers seemed tired, tired of life. I did not fail to take a picture of this epic scene and upload it on social media, this is what we are immune to these days, we do not leave anything beautiful and sometimes we capture the earthy realities of life. His swing was painted red and white with cost of riding the swing in the middle which was rupees 20. The swing despite of being colored wore a blanket of hard luck and failure. The man was sitting on the swing, with no customers. It was evening, the day was going to end.IMG_2395

That moment, I was speechless; I asked myself “how much money he would have earned today?”, “is his earnings enough for his family?”, “will he even go to his house today?”, “is this his bad luck, or he is lucky enough?”. All such questions bombarded my head and when did I entered the lift of my building I did not know. I was silently standing in the lift when the silence of the lift broke my silence as no button was pressed and the fan also auto-stopped.

I reached my house in next 20 seconds.

I was worried about that person but there was nothing much I could do since life changing resources are still out of my reach. All I could do it wish well for him and his family and pray to that positive energy to burn all his problems. Then I realized that it was certainly a catch-22(1) for both him and me. Life was a beamer(2) for him and the whole scene was a beamer for me. For many its a chin music(3). I could not play my violin for the next few days as the thought troubled me. Then I realized that all this is the harsh truth. Life is always filled with problems till rim. Every door is at the end of a bottle neck. One should be confident and brave, hearty and humble and should continue his job, his work and fight hard for his or her desires. If the person with the swing would never sell his swing but work hard daily. He has no customers today but his worrying will not help him. His hard work will.

“If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.”

                            ― Dalai Lama XIV

So why do not fight today and kill the future regrets or cry on mistakes ( you call them mistakes because you are helpless and unsuccessful at the present) made in past?!.

Even if only few planes flew over his swing. The swing rotates faster than the plane’s speed in the endless sky.

Thank you, I hope you liked my view.

A Day Trading Stir

The world is temporary .The incoming love of my life is a day trader(1). Never listens to me, unpredictable, does not stay long and always leaves a mark. This mark can be a scar or a soul hickey. This love can be anything; desire, affection, and even hatred. Being a little bias, I will say that every love is of the same type and even if there exists one tiny true love, he is destroyed or undervalued which leads to his slow death.

One should never rely on anyone for anything because you have no idea when that thing on which or the person on whom you are relying will disappear indifferently like a Kermit sipping tea. We value everything and prioritize each and every aspect of our life. This is human nature. But when this value shatters, the broken pieces of the soul’s mirror are no less than a nuclear bomb exploded inside our body! It pains when you are not treated the way you expected and the day ends, you predefine tomorrow as sorrowful. One simple rule: don’t ‘bro’ him if you don’t ‘know’ him, basically, don’t give unnecessary importance or an important place in your life to anyone. Be your own superhero and satisfy your needs with your superpowers.

Believe in reality. You need to create a win-win situation where you earn benefit from all the perspective. Be positive, hard as rock and as stubborn as a mule.

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito”.     – His holiness the Dalai Lama.

Don’t lose hope and love in life. I love my violin, he never betrays me, and sounds like honey if he is treated well. He is not a day trader. He has invested in me for a long time now and this investment is going to have a huge return value later in the circle of life. I am quite sure. May the shares of your life touch cloud nine. Peace.

Breaking the mountain within

When there is too much stress or worry, look within.”

– His holiness the Dalai Lama

We are thinking about numerous things, incidents, reactions which we could have made in past and what we feel almost all the time; this thinking process initiates the founding of the house of worry and stress within ourselves. We try to find solutions, we reach the dark tunnel whose bright end is not so bright, we think about promises which were never fulfilled, we think about favors which were never returned and we start comparing our lives with lives of other people. In short, we start losing our taste in life and become lethargic and are lost but never found.

This tension mountain needs large scale bombing. Pain is one of the solutions to initiate lava eruption and gift peace to the god of mountain. Love bites can sometimes do magical things. Letting go can provide a paracetamol relief with no side-effects. For a healthy and open mind, for the mind to concentrate on priority tasks, for the cure of swollen cerebrum one has to take out time for the treatment, as sitting, thinking and being a couch potato can only help you to drink Netflix but not brighten up the end of the tunnel. There is a thin line between thinking and introspections.  The day we start start to untangle the entangled, is the day we would understand the real meaning of life which is ‘hard-work tending to sweet fruit’.

I have seen people going to temples, spending huge amount of money on statues and priests to get their problems resolved magically and hence vanish their stress and if their issues are resolved they call it ”God’s Miracle” and if there issues are not resolved they cover it up by stating that “there must have been something wrong or something must have been missing in their worship practices”, but they would never realize that they are stuck in a vicious circle of life where they are peace seekers, greedy for assets and mental relief and their car is continuously bumping over speed breaker of panic and anxiety.

So now after blaming human nature for its carelessness and impulsive not-understanding attitude let us understand the basic key rule to handle stress with the help of this short story titled “The glass of water”.

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management. He raised a glass of water and asked the audience, “How heavy do you think this glass of water is?”
The students’ answers ranged from 20gms to 500gms.

It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it is OK. If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you will have to call an ambulance.
It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes. If we carry our burdens and stress all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on, the stress becoming increasingly heavier.
What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again. We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on.

So before you return home from work tonight, put the stress of work down, put the stress of  life down. Don’t carry it back home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever weights you are having now on your shoulders, let it down for a moment if you can. Pick it up again later when you have rested.

So in the end I would say that, one should let the mountain move, let the lightning break this mountain into pieces, think about your life and break-free and say yes to yoga.

The Last Day

“Parting

One is strong, a child now grown
The other weak, a parent aged

The strong once feeble
The weak once mighty

Time, the infinity
has marked them…”
― Muse, Enigmatic Evolution

When I entered my school campus, there were more than fifty people, standing in the L-shaped balcony of the auditorium building, clapping and hooting on my arrival, all dressed in blue shades with a smile filled with sweet honey and joy. It was like a blue rainbow falling on me and there was a feeling of being special which I never felt in my life before. I looked up and smiled to respect their respect for me and my heart filled with jest and I wish if I could pause that moment and enjoy it to the fullest. My other friends which came after me got the same treatment of pure love. It was the last day of the school, the farewell. Those people in the balcony were juniors. Dearest teachers treated us with a teeka1 and a chocolate and escorted to the celebration ground where I met my other school friends whom I met with a warm and tight hug.

Gentlemen were dressed in formal suits and ladies were dressed in sarees2. We all started clicking pictures with teachers, batch mates and even juniors. The picture session was unstoppable. Everyone was trying to capture each and every moment. No one wanted to miss a picture with anyone. Everyone wished if they could take along the person himself/herself with them along with the picture. The pain of separation was bearable but not avoidable. Hearts were heavy, eyes were wet. Through all the fun, mischiefs and gravitational situations, when did this school period end, no one could imagine. Everyone have always heard the school bell after the end of each class but this was the school bell for the ending of schooling.

All this was given a break when all of us were taken to the auditorium where the lovely juniors organised a small farewell show for all of us. It had music, dance, play. We were saturated with mixtures of feelings and didn’t want to leave. But the day had to end. All the memories of school, all of those fifteen years, flashed in front of my eyes at that moment.

School Life is unforgettable. Makes us laugh and cry at the same time and this is what we all were doing before leaving. No one wanted to cry.

Water drops on the concrete ground were visible.

Each one of us has some or the other period of life which leaves an impact on both our brain and heart and whenever you think about that period all you can feel is helplessness, desire to move back in time and an unsatisfactory smile because you think that you could have squeezed more out of that time. You may not be satisfied today, but these small set of memories will be your magic potion to support in tough and demanding time of your life in future.

The Secret Ingredient for Success

“Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment. Full effort is full victory.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

One can never achieve success without hard work. And today I am going to tell you a secret ingredient of success, which will boost your business and work. With this secret ingredient you can win this modern era. All the successful people across the globe from the honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to the CEO of amazon.com Mr. Jeff Bezos, from indian business tycoon Mr. Anil Ambani to Star cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, everyone has used this secret ingredient in their life and their lives tastes very well now.

Before knowing the secret ingredient, let us get a hint of it from a small story.

Bill gates, only the name is enough to explain his status. He is the founder of Microsoft Corporation and wealthiest person in the world. The richest person in the world and has held the number one position since last many years.  Bill gates has also faced many challenges and failures in his life, especially when he was going to give a new face to his life as an entrepreneur and like other he had also got fail in many things but he did one more thing, he never allowed himself to quit or he never dropped his plan, it was different thing that he didn’t get success in all of them but he had never afraid of getting failure, he executed all of his plans. After enrolled in the lakeside school, he always showed a personal interest in the computer programming with one of his friend, Paul Allen. They both well utilized their free time by writing programs and he was strongly attracted towards his interest to write computer programming and excused from his math classes to provoke his interest. He wrote his first program on this machine: an implementation of tic-tac-toe that allowed users to play games against the computer.

In 1974, when popular electronics company MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry System) hired them the team of two (gates and Allen) after knowing their potential in the programming. Now, Bill Gates completely dropped the Harvard University. Then, Paul Allen and gates joined MITS and designed an Altair emulator and with its success, they resulted a deal with MITS to distribute interpreter as an Altair BASIC. They named their partnership “Micro-Soft”. But gate discovered that a pre-market copy had leaked and after some results, Microsoft discontinued work with MITS and became an independent in 1976 but it still continued to develop programming language and took it at some higher level.

It was really tough for bill gates to convince their parents for his dropout, it took almost one year to convince them. His parents were quite worried for him because he was not much matured to start a company but his promising nature melted their parents and allow him to go ahead.

After discontinued with the MITS, the lack of socialism and market awareness had affected badly. In fact, the effect could be seen easily in the sales and they failed to make a good profit but after some time and their consistent engagement took Microsoft at the peak height of this century. In New Mexico, bill gates failed, he missed his best opportunity of giving his first BASIC that he was supposed to make in 3 weeks but in actually, he took more than 5 week to completion, and that was big loss for bill gates.Another turning point came in the bill gates life, when he was just of 16 years old; he took his little steps in the marketing business world where he failed once again. When bill gates decided to drop Harvard University and work on his strength (computer programming). Traf-O-Data was the name of his first venture with Paul Allen and Paul Gilbert. The main objective was to read the raw data from the roadways traffic counter and create reports for the traffic engineers. They engaged in developing a device to read the traffic tapes for which gates used $3400 money to purchase an Enviro-labs model GS-311 paper tape reader generated by traffic counting and produced some revenue for them so before it had had would happened the state of Washington offered free traffic processing service and ending the need for private contractors and the dream of earning some revenue came to an end. And Traf –O-Data sent letters to all the clients and saying they were suspending business.

Few say, this is to be happened because the unexperienced teenagers started this business and the group failed to make an impressive money but in an interview they claimed that, they earned something great than money while doing this business and that was, experience – more valuable than anything else.

With the failure of Traf -O-Data, the bill gates and his teams got a spark of doing something great. Obviously, most of credit for failure went to their age, they were new in the market but they did really well.

Traf-O-Data didn’t get a roaring success but bill gates and his team got some more valuable than money and that was, experience.

Bill gates failed to complete his education in Harvard University; he decided to give a new face to Microsoft and work on his talent with Paul Allen.

So do you now understand the secret ingredient?

Its Failure.

“if you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everyone else’s success”

What people desire?…

The world is little, people are little. There is only one big thing, desire.

Desire is one aspect of human life which can neither be altered nor be reduced. Desire keeps a person motivated, it always enlighten the path and keeps all the hope at the end of the tunnel.

Every person has the different type of desires, a poor child has a desire to study and a rich boy has a never quenching desire of everything. A college student has a desire of getting good grades and a working person has a desire to feed his family and take good care of his family. But people always demand things, they never tend to change in order to achieve their desire. “your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same”.

Few days ago, I met a small child, it was Saturday evening and he just finished up collecting money in a small container which was filled with oil and had a small sculpture of lord Shani. We all were standing near a Chinese food van and he came near to the counter and asked for some noodles. He did not ask it for free, he wanted it against a ten-rupee note. He was wearing broken slippers and clothes which did not cover him completely. It was a cold evening. While he was requesting for some noodles, we asked him that what does he do otherwise to which he responded very actively as if there was never tired. He said “I go to school and since holidays were going on so he was working to help his family”. It was a delight to hear that he is getting education but then we asked him the golden question, “what was his Desire?”; we thought that his desire would be something extraordinary which would be logically out of his reach according to his current situation. But his answer made us all speechless for a moment. He said that right now he wanted to go to home, give money he collected to his mother and eat food with the family and specially his little sister, he also wanted his school to start soon as he missed them very much. His answer was very realistic and his innocence reflected his great nature and acceptance of life. When we asked that boy what he wanted to become when he grows up…he replied “I like cricket and he wants to be a cricketer”. We all accepted his answer with a sadness but we all were proud that we still have such enthusiastic and sporty children who irrespective of any odd situation, poverty and lack of facilities live life fully and doesn’t complain much! The little boy taught us how to stay absorbed in the roots and realistic world and still dream and desire till the sky’s limit. We realized that positivity is the key to fulfill desires. After some time, the person making the noodles gave him some noodles in a small packet without taking his ten-rupee note. The boy left.

We must keep on thinking and desiring about high possibilities and dreams.

“The Desire of a bird is equal to desire of man’s….to fly as high as we can”.
